The Blood of Christ | Part 1

Tim Fulkerson | 3.6.22
Leviticus 17:10-11

We begin our Lenten series on the blood of Christ by understanding that the life of every living creature is in its blood. Because God values life, He places high value on blood as it both symbolizes and carries life. He was even willing to lay down the life of His own Son, so that His blood could be shed as an atonement for human sin. May we come to reverence and honor the precious blood of Jesus Christ!

The Blood of Christ | Part 2

Tim Fulkerson | 3.13.22
Genesis 15:1-20

We continue in our study of the Blood of Christ by examining the important concept of God’s covenant. God made a covenant first with Abraham, and it was ratified through the shedding of blood. While God kept His promise, as we follow the story of Israel we see that they did not walk in God’s ways. God therefore established a new and better covenant through His Son Jesus Christ. He shed his own blood on the cross so that sinners could be made right with God.

The Blood of Christ | Part 3

Tim Fulkerson | 3.20.22
Exodus 12:1-13

Just as God delivered the Israelites from the angel of death when He saw the blood of a lamb sprinkled upon the doorpost of each house, so we too are delivered from sin and death through the Blood of the Lamb. Today we examine the symbolism and significance of the Passover and how Christ came to be the perfect sacrifice for us. Through His blood we are now cleansed and forgiven from both the guilt and pollution of sin!

The Blood of Christ | Part 4

Isaiah 53:2-6

There are benefits to the blood of Christ applied to our lives!  Not only does Jesus forgive and cleanse us from our sins, He also heals us and makes us whole. The prophet Isaiah tells us that by the wounds of the Messiah, that we are healed. This healing not only is spiritual, but emotional and physical healing as well.  Let us therefore come to Jesus today and ask that He make us whole and complete in Him!

The Blood of Christ | Part 5

Revelation 12:10-12

As Christians we are in a spiritual battle. We learn from Revelation 10:11 that the way we overcome the enemy is through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. While there is never victory without conflict, we know that this victory has been won through the cross of Jesus Christ. It is our job as Christians to enforce that victory and apply the blood of Jesus to our lives.

The Blood of Christ | Part 6

Tim Fulkerson | 4.10.22
Hebrews 10:19–23

We conclude our series on the Blood of Christ by learning how to apply it to our lives. Pleading the blood of Christ is the tactic, or manner in which we wield the weapon against the accusation of Satan and his forces. We each must learn how to apply the precious blood of Christ to our every circumstance and walk in the victory that God has for us. The blood of Christ can indeed give us courage in the midst of conflict!
