Haggai: The Priority of Worship

Israel began to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem in obedience to the word of the Lord spoken through Ezra. However, because of distractions, discouragements, and disobedience, the work stopped. Fifteen years later God raised up the prophet Haggai to command the Israelites to return to the task of rebuilding God’s House. They needed to regain the priority of worship once again in their lives. As Christians, God is calling us as well to the priority of worship once again. May none of us get distracted by secondary things, but consider our ways as to do the things which please the Lord.
