The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise—Part 1
Tim Fulkerson | 12.2.18
Mary rejoices that she has the privilege of giving birth to the promised Messiah. This sermon will introduce us to Mary and set up the context of the Magnificat when she met her cousin Elizabeth.
THEME: When God meets us, something comes alive in us. Divine appointments will always lead to worship!
The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise—Part 2
Tim Fulkerson | 12.9.18
Mary glorifies God for his power, holiness and mercy. Her worship was focused entirely on God (Godward focus), for the miracle that He had performed. The story of the incarnation is entirely the story of God and His goodness.
THEME: Advent is a season of the exalted worship of God who has come to our rescue.
The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise—Part 3
Tim Fulkerson | 12.16.18
God transforms the world through the coming of the Messiah. He has come to humble the exalted and to exalt the humble. He has come to make all things new.
THEME: Our response to Messiah must be to humble ourselves and submit to His Lordship. Like Mary, God is looking for people who humble themselves before Him.
The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise—Part 4
Tim Fulkerson | 12.23.18
God has been faithful to His promise. He has honored what He has spoken through the prophets of long ago. He has sent a Savior to the world.
THEME: Mary celebrates God’s faithfulness and His mercy. We too must learn to celebrate a God who will never fail. Let us celebrate a God who has been, and always will be, faithful.
